Growing The Game

Grass Root Initiatives

Run With the Pack, is the Seattle Seawolves grass roots community initiative that aims to inspire and empower underserved communities through rugby. We use rugby to foster personal development, teamwork, and leadership, while promoting inclusivity and access to sport to all.
Through partnerships with community organizations like the Boys & Girls Club, YMCA and many others,  Run With the Pack provides boys and girls from 1st to 8th grade with firsthand exposure to the sport's core values while learning the game through rugby-inspired drills led by members of the Seattle Seawolves team.

Rugby in Schools  Is a Seawolves initiative that aims to introduce the sport of rugby at the elementary, junior high and high school levels of education through phys ed classes, special assemblies and carefully curated youth flag rugby tournaments.Studies show that early exposure to team sports offers young children numerous benefits:

  • Collaboration: Encourages teamwork, cooperation, and the ability to work effectively with others.

  • Friendship: Helps build lasting relationships and trust through shared experiences on the field.

  • Leadership: Strengthens confidence, self-esteem, and key leadership skills through active participation in sports.

  • Health: Promotes physical fitness, coordination, and communication while fostering emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and overall mental well-being.

Youth Camps & Clinics

Seawolves Rugby Camps provide a unique experience for young people that they will never forget. It's an opportunity to learn new skills that not only benefit them on a rugby pitch but also develop them as individuals. These camps challenge participants to set goals and give them the ability to achieve them, improving their leadership and problem-solving skills—critical abilities that will help them throughout their rugby careers and beyond.
